Summary A continuous infusion of prostaglandin E 2 into the extra‐ovular space was administered to 25 healthy women who were from 10 to 17 weeks pregnant. Termination was successful in 24 patients within 36 hours. The total dose of prostaglandin used ranged from 550 to 2800 μg. with an average of 1381 μg. The infusion‐abortion interval varied from 8 hours 30 minutes to 23 hours 15 minutes, with an average of 15 hours 20 minutes.
