We present a simplified model calculation of submonolayer phase diagrams of atoms physisorbed on a weakly corrugated substrate. Both commensurate and incommensurate solid phases as well as liquid and gas are included. The calculation leads to a plausible, unified picture of how the density-temperature phase diagram changes when the wavelength and amplitude of the substrate corrugation are varied.
