Information concerning the transport collision cross section σₜ(ε) of low-energy electrons in the noble gases was obtained from drift-velocity data. The results (with ε in ev) are He: σₜ(ε)=(28±1) cm^-1 for 0.13≤ε≤4; Ne: σₜ(ε)=(6.05)ε0.157 cm^-1 for 0.38≤ε≤8; A: σₜ(ε)=(6.3±0.6)ε cm^-1 for 1.6≤ε≤11; Kr: σₜ(ε)=14ε cm^-1 for 1.6≤ε≤3; Xe: σₜ(ε)=26ε cm^-1 for 1≤ε≤2.4. All σₜ values are for 0^∘{}C and 1 mm Hg pressure. These results are compared with other experimental and theoretical data. For nitrogen the drift-velocity measurements indicate an average fractional energy loss per collision of 20(2m/M) in the energy range ε=0.07 to 0.15 ev.
