Fairness in a work context: Understanding the link to job satisfaction in the oil and gas industry

The oil and gas industry is an ever-changing environment that has good highs and bad lows.This study looks at perceived fairness among employees within the oil and gas industry to see how that perception affects their overall job satisfaction.A pilot study focus group was conducted to get different points of views from employees at three different organizations and understand what fairness means to them personally.Theory led the discussion and included questions about meaningful work, organizational justice, and perceived justice.
