Triploid, tetraploid, and pentaploid hybrids involving M and M u genome species were examined for meiotic chromosome pairing. Values of the relative affinity of the genomes involved were calculated and it is concluded that there is no preferential pairing of the M and M u genomes. Consequently it is suggested that the M u genome of Triticum uniaristatum be changed to Un.
