Impaired relaxation without hypertrophy in transgenic mice; leaves open whether these mutations suffice to cause human hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
In a transgenic mouse model, expression of mutated myosin light chains altered myofilament function but did not induce hypertrophy, suggesting these point mutations alone may not cause hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
