Numerical results for the chord length distributions of right circular cylinders are presented; they are based on an analytical expression that has earlier been obtained by A. M. Kellerer (Radiat. Res. 47, 359-376, 1971). The explicit integral expressions that are used in the evaluation are listed. An asymptotic formula for the variance of chord lengths in thin disks is derived.
