Why the study?
The study was conducted to evaluate the development of the abdominal aortic aneurysm proximal neck during long-term follow-up after endovascular stent graft repair and its relationship to potential complications.
Following endovascular aneurysm repair for abdominal aortic aneurysm, proximal neck dilatation occurs in nearly 30% of patients and is significantly associated with stent graft migration and type I endoleak.
