Abstract

Reaction of RhCl(COE)22 with an excess of the aromatic aminophosphine 1-(diethylaminomethyl)-3-(di-tert-butylphosphinomethyl)-2,4,6-tri methylbenzene (2) in dioxane under mild H2 pressure results in selective catalytic activation of an unstrained C–N single bond.
