Non isothermal crystallization of Polyamide 66 is studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). OZAWA's theory has been successfully applied to the crystallization of the polymer with or without nucleating agents. Whith glass fibers, a non‐appreciable alteration of the crystalline structure has been noticed, but the over‐all speed of crystallization is essentially due to the role of glass fibers as nucléation agents (phase of germination). At the end of the transformation process, fibers constrict the expansion of the sphérolites and clearly decrease the over‐all speed of crystallization.
