Learning about children's rights in preschool institutions is of great importance because children are taught democratic values from an early age. A teacher's pedagogical relation to a child has to be based on respect for the child's rights. The way in which teachers understand a child's nature, whether as a subject or object of law, will affect the understanding of the child's rights by the teacher. The manner in which teachers regard a child, be it as a developing being or a person equal with adults, will determine the way in which the teachers interpret the child's rights.
