A lack of success in therapy can begin to demoralize therapists. This can be reversed by employing reframes of the failure in the therapy. Exploring these brings distinctions between real and false failures, and between those that Strategic Therapists expect to work with and those which indicate a termination of therapy. Theoretical, technical and ethical issues are discussed.
