Methodological study demonstrates efficient [3 + 2] cycloaddition of nitrile imines with isoindigos, suggesting a scalable pathway to complex bispirooxindole pyrazolines.
An efficient [3 + 2] cycloaddition of nitrile imines with isoindigos has been developed. A wide range of novel bispirooxindole pyrazolines with vicinal quaternary spirocenters was conveniently obtained in good‐to‐excellent yields with high diastereoselectivity under mild conditions. The straightforward protocol exhibits simple operation, good functional group tolerance, and scalability.
