Through Another's Eyes: Amanda's Perspective on Being Gifted

My sister, Amanda, was the main reason I became interested in gifted education. My mother was a third grade teacher, and before Amanda entered kindergarten, she learned to love books, as my mother did. In the second grade, her teachers encouraged her to read and she won a contest for reading the most books.
