This note presents a reanalysis of the Reiss Premarital Sexual Permissiveness Scale (PSP) with a two-state sample of single college women. Comparisons of our two student samples with Reiss' adult and student samples question the universality of the PSP scale. Many items have marginal frequencies which exceed acceptable limits and a distinctive difference in the pattern of ranking by students and adults emerges.
