Isotopic composition of atmospheric oxygen was found to be + 23.79 ± 0.06‰ by measuring the isotopic composition of CO2 equilibrated with water made of atmospheric oxygen. Oxygen isotope separation factors of a carbon dioxide-water system were measured at 25.00, 19.81, and 14.55°C, and the best fit equation ln α = 1.1665 × 10−2 + 2.5695 × 10−3/T2 gave the separation factors of 1.04140, 1.04248, and 1.04353 at 25, 20, and 15°C, respectively.
