Spin-other-orbit interactions have been calculated for atoms with pn and dn configurations up to radon (Z = 86) using the radial integrals evaluated from numerical Hartree-Fock wavefunctions. It is found that the absolute value of the spin-other-orbit interaction increases for the atomic configuration (nl)N as the principal quantum number n increases; it also increases with N in a given shell.
