A desc ript ion is give n of apparatus employing a ce ll that is both a bellows dilatometer and a threete rmin al elec t rod e se t for measuring simu ltaneous ly the d e nsity and di el ec tri c properties of liquids as fun c tions of te mperature and pressure . Measure ment s are possibl e at te mperatures from .1 20 oK to over 300 oK a nd pressures from 1 to 2000 atm with an un ce rtainty of 0.03 pe rcen t. The den Sity, dlelectnc co nsta nt , a nd Clausi us-Mossotti function of n-hexane hav e been m~asur.ed for temperat.ures from 2~3 to 298 oK (-50 to 25 C) a nd at pressures from 1 to 2000 atm. There I S a Imear decrease m the Clau.slUs-Mossotti fun ction with density and a decrease with temperature correspondmg to an effecllve dipole moment of 0.085 debye.
