Amylo-1,6-glucosidase has been measured by seven methods which have been compared. Some of them allow the separate determination of either the transglycosylation or of the hydrolytic step catalysed by the enzyme, whereas others measure the overall reaction. Their advantages and disadvantages are discussed.
