Electron degradation and subexcitation spectra have been computed for helium gas containing a source of electron with initial energy of 1.99, 10, or 30 keV. The yield of primary ionizations was also obtained and the results analyzed. A new type of plot illustrates the slow variation of the mean energy per ion pair with respect to the initial electron energy.
