The current-voltage characteristics of point-to-ring corona

In this communication the point-to-ring corona is considered. The experimental results obtained from this new geometry have been compared particularly with the ones that refer to point-to-plane corona. This comparison has provided evidence of the similar features between point-to-ring and point-to-plane corona. In particular, the Townsend relation for the current-voltage characteristics is also valid for the point-to-ring symmetry.
