Four cases of Poland's syndrome—syndactyly and partial ipsilateral absence of the pectoralis major muscle—are presented. The authors review the literature and summarize associated anomalies. The need for adequate radiographic evaluation of the chest and hands of all patients with syndactyly is stressed. A new clinical sign—a simian crease of the involved extremity—is described and its significance is discussed.
