What pre- and intraoperative factors are associated with successful early extubation (<24 hours) in children <36 months old undergoing congenital heart surgery?
Early extubation (<24 hours) is feasible in young children after congenital heart surgery and is strongly predicted by preoperative factors including age >6 months, gestational age >36 weeks, and absence of pulmonary hypertension or heart failure.
