Winds that have been revealed by sodium-vapor trails at heights of 90-130 km are analyzed to resolve the diurnal tidal component. An apparently significant component is discovered, whose variation with height is consistent with theoretical expectations and which may reasonably be attributed to the tide. Residual components, comprising a systematic prevailing wind and semidiurnal tide, and a rather irregular scatter, are also discussed.
