The surface compositions of a series of polymer blends with controllable hydrogen bonding between the constituents were studied. The study was conducted on a series of polymer pairs consisting of poly(4-vinylpyridine) serving as proton acceptor and modified polystyrene as proton donor. The interpolymer complexation was found to eliminate the surface enrichment in the polymer blends studied.
