Nonlinear susceptibility -3/4 χ 2 h 0 2 as well as the normal susceptibility χ 0 was measured for a spin glass alloy Pt 0.98 Mn 0.02 using the Hartshorn bridge. The sign of χ 2 was found to be negative. Our result explains the magnetic field dependence of the susceptibility observed in Au Fe. 5)
