Consideration is given to new high-resolution images of the regions W3(OH) and G34.3 + 0.1 in the mid-infrared made with the Berkeley mid-IR Array Camera and in NH3 line emission made with the VLA. The energy requirements of the H2O masers seen in faint cores in both star-forming regions suggest that both cores now contain stars. Our observations suggest that the stars are probably no earlier than type A and may be later if sources of energy such as accretion contribute to the luminosity.
