As application of electromaganetic waves have inceased, effect on the human body has became a concern .Especially, these effects are significant problems for researchers who, because of their occupation , receive high does of electromagnetic illumination. In this paper, for researchers dealing with high‐power electromagnetic waves, a method is proposed for reducing the absorption power by means of a perfectly conducting shielding. As a fundamental stage, the reduction effect of the specific absorption rate (SAR) when a plane wave is incident on a cylindrical human model with a perfectly conducting shield is calculated and discussed. the effectiveness of the shield is presented.
