A crystallographic analysis of defects in RBa2Cu3O7 shows that the presence of defects on crystals results in CulO4Cul chains along the c-axis. Defects can change the position of the Cu2O plane too. At the boundary of defects the Cu2O plane can change into CulO planes, and vice versa. Dislocations and possible configurations of their cores are considered.
