Duration of schizophrenia ≥ 8 years vs. Duration of schizophrenia < 8 years was evaluated on Positive Calgary Depression Scale for Schizophrenia (CDSS) status (OR 7.171, 95% CI 1.656-31.044, p=0.008). A duration of schizophrenia of ≥8 years was independently associated with higher odds of depressive symptomatology (OR 7.171) among Egyptian patients with schizophrenia.
