Review outlines the fundamentals and mathematical foundations of wave polarization in electromagnetics, highlighting emerging technologies in wave-matter interactions.
Polarization is a fundamental and important characteristic of electromagnetic waves that governs the behavior of the electric field and provides essential insight into interaction with matter. This paper presents a simple perspective of polarization in electromagnetics to students/researchers. The fundamental properties as well as mathematical background of polarization have been presented. Furthermore, some of the recent research that highlights emerging technologies in polarization is also discussed.
