The monomer (CM) and solvent (CS) transfer constants were determined by a study of the vinyl chloride polymerization in 1.2‐dichloroethane solution at 50°C. It was found the value of 1.1·10−3 for CM and the value of 4.5·10−4 for CS. The value of CM, here determined, is compared with those reported by other authors and obtained from polymerization experiments carried out in bulk under heterogeneous conditions.
