Differences in clinical presentation, in-hospital time delays, and patients' outcomes (hospital stay, perforation rate, mortality, morbidity)

Elderly patients with acute appendicitis experience shorter preoperative delays but longer hospital stays and a trend toward higher perforation rates compared to younger patients.
