Functional polypropylenes having vinyl, phenyl or hydroxyl groups at the chain end were prepared by adding common monomers as butadiene, styrene and 1,2‐epoxypropane, respectively, at −78°C during the living coordination polymerization of propene with a soluble V(acac)3/Al(C2H5)2Cl catalyst. In addition, polypropylene with hydroxyl functions was prepared by an alternative method based on the hydrogenation of a polypropylene containing aldehyde functions with LiAlH4. These new types of terminally functionalized polypropylenes were well‐characterized by 1H NMR analysis.
