Thermal-expansion coefficients and specific heats have been measured in the temperature range 0.1--10 K for KCl crystals containing less than 200 ppm ⁶Li or ⁷Li. The tunneling states associated with isolated Li ions give rise to a Gr\"uneisen parameter of Γ_Li=+150±15 which is isotropic and independent of temperature or of Li isotope.
