Anchoring a phosphine and an enantiopure camphorpyrazole tether to an arene (PArN*) yields, after η 6:η 1:η 1 coordination to ruthenium, [{η 6:η 1:η 1 -(PArN*)}RuL] 2+ as a 1:1 mixture of diastereomers. These were separated and characterized by X-ray crystallography. The structure of the R, R P, S Ru diastereomer is depicted.
