Beam-foil spectra of beryllium have been studied at energies between 200 and 400 keV in the wavelength range 500-1 200 Å. Lifetimes of five of the n =3 terms in Be III have been measured and compared with theory. Remeasurements of lifetimes of doubly excited levels in Be II show some discrepancies with previous measurements.
