Measurements are reported on the longitudinal and tranvserse critical currents of chemically deposited Nb3Sn at temperatures close to Tc. Significant and systematic deviations are observed between these measurements and a simple flux pinning model of volume currents. The analysis suggests that surface supercurrents, which depend on the fundamental superconducting properties of the material, dominate the superconductivity properties reported here.
