A model recently developed by Behari and Tripathi (see abstr. A37313 of 1969) has been applied to the study of the lattice dynamics of Rb, Cs and Pt. Phonon dispersion curves in the three symmetry directions, vibration spectra, temperature variation of specific heat and the Debye-Waller factor have been calculated. A comparison with the experimental results shows good agreement.
