Electron spectra have been recorded from the AIIIBV compounds GaP, GaAs, GaSb, and InAs as well as from Ga203, As2O3, Ga, and As. Binding energy values, determined b; careful energy calibrations, are reported for the Ga and As 3d electrons. The bindin energy shifts for the AIIIBV compounds suggest a charge transfer from A to B.
