Hodgkin's disease has been considered a rare disease in the pediatric age group. Fourteen patients with Hodgkin's disease in the first decade of life, collected from the files of the Department of Pathology of the Cancer Hospital of Paraiba, Brazil, during the period 1962 to 1972, are presented. A slight male sex preponderance (64.2%) was noted. All these children belonged to families living under very poor socioeconomic conditions. All cases were reviewed and classified according to the histologic classification of Lukes and Butler. Three cases were classified as lymphocytic predominance type, one case as nodular sclerosis, nine as mixed cellularity type, and one as lymphocytic depletion.
