The theory of polarons in weakly polar semiconductors in the presence of a magnetic field is developed, taking into account resonant and nonresonant contributions to the electron self-energy, as well as its real and imaginary parts. General polaron behavior at low and high magnetic fields is examined and it is shown that the ``offset'' effect does not exist. Comparison with experimental data for GaAs demonstrates the necessity of an improved second-order perturbation theory.
