Abstract 1. 1) Three out of four patients with post kala-azar dermal leishmanoids gave positive Montenegro reactions (Brazilian antigen). 2. 2) Fifteen patients suffering or recovered from kala-azar gave positive Montenegro reactions. 3. 3) One out of five patients suffering from other diseases gave a positive Montenegro reaction. 4. 4) It is suggested that strains of L. donovani which affect the skin as well as the viscera are likely to give rise to positive intradermal reactions.
