Linear quadratic singular optimal control problem is solved for nonminimum phase and noninvertible systems. A state space decomposition is obtained and a reduced order nonsingular subproblem is solved. The optimal stabilizing input of the singular problem has been found when there are no transmission zeros on the imaginary axis.
