Evidence of Ideal Superconducting Sulfur Superhydride in a Pressure Cell

Researchers improved the synthesis procedure of a pressure-induced sulfur hydride superconductor. Unprecedentedly sharp X-ray diffraction peaks and concurrently observed rapid resistance drop at 200 K demonstrate the successful realization of the theoretically predicted, ideal high-temperature superconducting crystal.
