Rydberg series of doubly excited resonances near the threshold for two-electron escape

By extrapolating Wannier continuum wavefunctions for two-electron escape to energies just below threshold, the authors obtain a Rydberg series of resonances. By extrapolating the Wannier cross section to energies below threshold, they argue that the partial widths Gamma n of the resonances vary as n -5.254 .
