In a series of 704 panoramic radiographs, 159 were randomly selected and recorded twice by the same observer. Agreement of recording of positive findings was 100% regarding aplasias and 71–76% regarding malposition of permanent teeth. Agreement in recording the stage of eruption of maxillary canines was 92%. Agreement in the recording of inflammatory processes involving the primary molars and delayed resorption of mandibular primary canines was 59% and 52%, respectively.
