Brain metastases confer poor survival in sarcoma; leaves open prospective evaluation of surveillance and therapy in high-risk subtypes.
Brain metastases occur in 4.2% of musculoskeletal sarcoma patients, particularly in alveolar soft part sarcoma, Ewing's sarcoma, and rhabdomyosarcoma, and are associated with poor survival.
