The mass spectra of cis‐ and trans‐p‐menthane, 5 menthenes, 5 saturated bicyclic hydrocarbons C10H18, and 22 terpenes C10H16 have been measured. Only the spectra of cis‐ and trans‐alloocimene were indistinguishable from one another; all the other substances gave specific fragmentation patterns that can be used in their identification.
