Continuous disinfectant application outperformed intermittent treatment; Dentosept and Oxygenal enabled 91% of samples to meet ADA guidelines, compared to 60% for Ster4Spray.
Dentosept achieved the highest median reduction in bacterial counts (3.11 log CFU·ml⁻¹) and provided the most consistent, sustained antimicrobial efficacy over the testing period.
